今のWARRANTも最高です！

小学生の時から洋楽ハードロックを聴きまくり、中学生からギターを弾いている50代前半のおっさんです。
先行公開された新曲のPVに「うわぁ、メチャメチャ好みの音だ！」とノックアウトされて半ば衝動的に予約しちゃいました。
この時、初めてボーカリストのジェイニーレインが2011年に亡くなっており、前作のロッカホリックからロバートメイソンとなっていることを知りました。
ウォレントは大ヒットした「いけないチェリーパイ」を含め初期三作をリアルタイムで聴きまくっていたので大好きなバンドの一つでしたが、ロバートメイソンのボーカル、いいじゃないですか！非常にワイルドでパワフルな歌声ですが、荒っぽい雑さは皆無で、ミディアムナンバーやスローナンバーでも確かな歌唱力があることが分かりますね。さらにとにかく曲が良く、彼の声にピッタリハマっていますしどの曲も聴いていていて「カッコイイ！」。参加していたリンチモブはちゃんと聴いたことがありませんでしたが、こんな実力派がまだいたとは．．．。
もう数えきれない程聴きましたが、全曲期待通りで最高です！
発売までは、前作のロッカホリックを購入して聴いていましたが、前作も素晴らしい出来と思いましたが、今作はアルバムタイトルどおり、全体的に前作よりワイルド感が強いです。それでも、元気のあるファストナンバーだけでなく、前作同様様々なタイプの曲がバランスよく詰まっています。また、ロバートメイソン以外は皆全盛期のオリジナルメンバーで、まったく昔と変わらない高い演奏力とギターサウンドも嬉しい限りですね。
今のウォレントのような曲やサウンドはよく「80年代の音」と簡単に一言で片付けられてしまうことが多いようですが、今の若い人達はどのように受け止めているんでしょうか？非常に興味深いですね。いずれにしても、私のような年代のファンにとってはたまらない音で、大好きなこのようなサウンドが、ベテラン、若手関係なく現役バンドの最新の楽曲のアルバムとして聴けるのは実に嬉しいものです。
とにかく、ジェイニーレインのウォレントという先入観を捨てて、すべてのロックファンに聴いて欲しいです。

It is unusual that I ever think a band gets better with time, especially when the lead singer changes. Sure, I loved 80s hair metal and 90s rock, and Warrant with Jani was one of my favorite bands on their first 2 albums. I wish they had stopped there with Jani. Not that the subsequent releases with Jani were all bad- all of them had some memorable moments, they just weren't consistent with the great material that flooded DRFSR and Cherry Pie.

Finally, in 2006, they released a really good, fun and rocking CD with Born Again featuring Jamie St. James on vocals.

Then, Rockaholic came out in 2011, the first with current singer Robert Mason. Rockaholic is a great CD!

Louder, Harder, Faster is a most excellent CD. Mason's vocals are spot-on. He screams at just the right places, and there's never a weak vocal anywhere on the CD. The rest of the band is in great form too. It's all fresh material, and it is just awesome that it is 2017 and we have a new CD by Warrant!

I hope these guys keep it up for a long time to come. They are still kicking it in concert as well, just performing too much old material and not enough from Louder, Harder, Faster and Rockaholic.

If you can't get past Jani being gone, just keep playing your old Warrant CDs but please stop bashing the new and improved Warrant. If you want to hear some great, fun, fast, furious rock with great guitar work, clever lyrics, and just have a good time for a few songs by all means buy this CD. I have already listened to it more than any CD I have purchased, well, since Rockaholic. No negatives from this old listener, who I must remind you loves their first 2 CDs. But I love their last 2 CDs just as much, and possibly more.

Volle Sternen Zahl was sonst ! Vorgänger hier mag die Band nicht anders kann ich die blossen 3 Sterne nicht beschreiben. An der Cd ist nicht schlechtes wie auch alle bisherigen Scheiben ausser die eine miese aus Mitte der 90iger kann auch die hier überzeigen. Anspieltipps : der Opener & Titelsong, Only broken Heart, Music Man, Big Sandy und Perfect. Aber ich sagte ja schon das die Scheibe durchaus gut ist. Klar Stadion Phase ist für Warrant klar vorbei und Radio Airplay wirds auch keinen mehr geben. Aber alle die knackigen und gut gemachten Hard Rock mögen können die Scheibe kaufen. Von den Glam Wurzeln der ersten Alben ist nichts mehr zu hören. Wo mein Vorredner diese raushört möchte ich wissen ?! Bei mir dreht sich die Scheibe seit erhalt vor 3 Tagen fast täglich mehrmals. Coole abwechslungsreiche Musik !

C'est ce que l'on perçoit dès les premières mesures de cet album de true fast rock'n'roll. Et là, on en redemande. On est avide. Alors on en attend beaucoup. Beaucoup plus que ce qu'il nous livre en définitive. Le principal problème de ce nouvel effort de ces américains "Glam-survivors" est que ses meilleurs morceaux ne sont que des "mises en bouche", qui poussent certes à une écoute frénétique, mais avec l'espoir que le prochain titre sera meilleur que celui que vous venez d'entendre. Avec l'espoir qu'il y aura le quota raisonnable de deux morceaux qui font taper du pied et secouer les cheveux, avec le type de refrains groovy ultra accrocheurs surplombés par leur riff syncopé surpuissant qui nous donne tellement de force, nous donne tellement l'impression que tout va bien. Avec l'espoir qu'il n'y aura pas de "fausses notes", que toutes les "tracks" seront à la hauteur de faire en sorte que le tout mérite l'appellation "Attention tuerie !" Seulement voilà : il fait apparemment trop chaud pour travailler ! Et le groupe, bien qu'ayant une niaque que certains pourraient leur envier, ne sort pas des sentiers battus, et voire, même, n'a absolument pas cherché à le faire. La politique de la conception de cet opus à-priori à dû être : "Faut faire le truc comme ça, faut régler ça comme ça, faut jouer ça comme ça". En d'autres termes, "Faut sonner comme ça, et merde pour le reste, ça suffira bien". Alors si l'album commence sur les chapeaux de roues, que l'on sent une sincérité, le groupe tombe dans tous les pièges et clichés passé les quatre premiers morceaux ( Ou "premières mises en bouche"), parce que suite à ça, la première boulette consiste en une ballade "Elton Johnesque", située à une place on ne peut plus prévisible, qui vient gâcher l'élan du départ, alors que le ton donné à ce moment-là ressemble à du "Pas de compromis, puissance, énergie, déconnade". Bon, on pardonne, mais on attend la suite, et ce sera le Zeppelinien "Music man" qui nous fera souffler de soulagement il est vrai, mais qui laissera une impression "d'inachevé" quelque part... Parce que l'autre défaut du disque est - mais je l'ai déjà fait comprendre - de manquer d'ambition (D'un autre côté, si Cinderella revenait avec un disque de ce niveau, il y en a plus d'un qui seraient très heureux...) Il y a un côté "Insuffisant, mais sans être médiocre" sur les meilleurs titres, pour vite basculer dans l'inutile, le remplissage, en témoignent les dispensables "Faded", "Big Sandy et Let it go", ces deux-là teintés d'influence à la NIGHTRANGER ( D'ailleurs pourquoi faire ??), que deux autres brûlots sympathiques, "New rebellion et Choose your fate" auront du mal à faire passer du fait de la disposition que prend la set-list sur cette deuxième partie d'album, toute en dents de scie par conséquent. On aura quand même droit à un super blues rock sur la fin ...(Quelle connerie de l'avoir ajouté en bonus track !) Un album pas mauvais mais décevant, avec un chanteur fantastique qui crée l'illusion et parvient à faire oublier le manque d'imagination global.
