Sins of Our Fathers (English Edition) Kindle版
Attorney Elizabeth Campbell turned her back on her silver spoon upbringing and finds emotional fulfillment in her work at a nonprofit legal clinic, much to the dismay of her parents.
Her propensity for bending the law, as well as uttering a few choice phrases, makes her pairing with a Catholic priest to investigate the case of a simple man with an IQ of a child, who confessed to a brutal killing, a challenge. But solving a gruesome murder is not even her greatest trial—it’s her growing attraction to sexy but cranky Detective Grace Donovan who is hell-bent on keeping her client in prison.
While chasing a mystery that found its way from the concentration camps of WWII to an abandoned Catholic school, Elizabeth and Grace struggle to set personal boundaries, as their relationship slowly evolves from one of hostility to indifference, to something neither wishes to define.

Easy holiday read, rather constructed and a not very convincing in the development of relationships, be them family, work or romantic. Protagonist annoyingly immature to me, but it passed my time easily

This story keeps you riveted. It is a hard one to put down. From the beginning prologue on chapter by chapter, a story of hidden secrets is revealed. Elizabeth, an attorney for a legal aid group, becomes involved in a murder case after reviewing it for the Mayor's office. After interviewing Raymond, the confessed killer, she begins to doubt this is as straightforward as it first appears. Her investigation leads her step by step into danger as she tries to unravel it all.
A well written story that was such a pleasure to read.

A good thriller story.

The story is well developed. I liked the main character though it does seem that she is more of a detective than the actual detective. There is not much of a romance in this one. Still a good read though and the humour is fantastic.

Have to say this kept my attention throughout the whole book. The storyline kept guessing on who the villain was. But I did have trouble remembering the names since there was so many. I loved Elizabeth...I laugh many times when it came to her. It was nice reading a thriller where the love line was the main deal. Even though I would have liked to seen more of Grace. I hope there is a sequel. I definitely recommend this book.

I really liked Sins of Our Fathers. The mystery part really keeps you guessing. But the interaction of the characters is really what holds your interest. Great book. Can't wait to read the next book.
